Sheppard Commercial Services Ltd are currently looking for HGV Technician to join our busy independent garage. The candidate is required for ongoing regular work.

Working Package: 

40 hr week Monday – Friday plus 1 in the 3 Saturdays
Paid overtime available on weekends & outside of basics hours
Call out rota 1 in 6 weeks 
28 days holiday inclusive of BH- This will increase with length of service.
Auto enrolment on company pension scheme

Daily Tasks to be delivered at a consistently high standard will include:

Carry out preventative vehicle maintenance and servicing
MOT preparation and repairs
Fault diagnosis and rectifying faults using specialist market leading diagnostic equipment
Carry out all work & repairs in a safe & timely manner exceeding DVSA standards
Repair or replace broken or defective parts and resolve defects
Road test vehicles & present for test (licence dependant)
Complete administration tasks on time
Be able to work as part of a team & on your own using your initiative & time wisely


      Salary: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year


Day shift on a weekly rota 06:00 – 14:30 and 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday

Weekend availability 

Desirable attributes are:

Full Licence 

HGV Driving license class 1 and 2 not essential 

At least 3 years experience
